"One night, when he was just 15 years old, Sebastian Green and a friend took a boat from Weymouth Marina and went for a spin in the Fleet Lagoon behind Chesil Beach. They eventually ran aground and when no-one responded to their shouts for help, Seb leapt over the side to seek assistance - and promptly sank up to his waist in mud. His subsequent rescue involved the coastguard helicopter, an inshore lifeboat and an overnight stay in hospital. He estimates the bill for this teenage prank gone wrong was approximately £20,000. On 1st February 2008, now 18, Seb set out from Weymouth to attempt to walk round Britain in an attempt to raise £20,000 for charity - a sum equivalent to the cost of his rescue."

For full details of this remarkable journey of a One Young Man and his dog, have a look at the website Seb's Odyssey. (http://www.sebsodyssey.org.uk/index.html)

Seb and Flash will be heading our way in a week or so and if the timing is right they may be staying the night with us before continuing the trek across the Old Severn Bridge and into England once more.
If there's anyone along the north Somerset/Devon/Cornwall coast who might be able to offer a comfy bed to a couple of weary travellers in the coming weeks there's a contact link on the website where you can offer help.
