The GAGB are proud to announce the latest addition to the site - Chat Room.

Come in, grab a comfy chair, get comfortable and enjoy the banter.

Please, please, please play nice. We are going to have the chatroom on for a couple of hours a night on a trial basis. If it proves popular then it will become a permament addition to the site.

I note that the link has disappeared, so presumably it will only be there at specific times.

Interestingly, at the bottom of the Forums 'front page' it shows that The Hornet is in the Chatroom at the moment (Sunday 4pm) - I hope he hasn't been shut in there by mistake :eek: - I would pop in and make Sunday afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches, but I'll post some in through the letterbox if necessary.

Can seem to get into the chatroom at all, can you poke, prod, or take whatever action is required, that assumes of course that the chatroom is running.

http://www.geochat.co.uk/chat/ Thanks for that. StuartP has reconfigured the chatromm to be an IRC portal to GeoChat. Having two seperate chat systems could cause friction between cachers and thats one thing the GAGB is keen not to promote so we have now linked in with the existing GeoChat Room.

If you are using Wndows Vista you may have to give the java permission to run. This is a necessary step to get the chatroom to work.

That's a shame as I could access the GAGB chatroom room from my work computer but can't access the other other chat room (connection failed).
