View Full Version : Oooh - I've been promoted

I've just noticed that I've been promoted from a Junior Member to a GAGB Supporter. What have I done to deserve this honour? Is it a question of the number of forum posts, having made a contribution to GAGB funds or even having cast a vote in the recent election?

I believe that you're changed to a supporter if you make a donation, but I'm sure a committee member will clarify :)

Thanks for the clarification on that. How do you get to be a senior member?

That's based on the number of posts someone's made, but I can't remember the actual changeover point from junior to senior.

Thanks. It's nice to know the targets - only 67 to go after this one.

I suspect the "GAGB Supporter" tag takes priority over any other classification...
It's not about the numbers anyway...
(With only a few posts to go to get to "Senior Member! :D)
Question to the committee... Is the "GAGB Supporter" bit optional?

*mouse* is correct. :)
I'm not sure that always happens - I have donated but am shown as a member. Maybe it only shows if you've donated in the last month, or something?
BTW, I'm not bothered about this, only posted it out of interest, if the answer isn't known there's no need to spend a lot of time rooting round in the code to find it :).

I've asked our webmasters to look at this. In the meantime I've made you a GAGB Supporter manually, Andy. Sorry about that!
lost it

could work as a negative and put people off donating who may not wish it to be known

Sorry, I missed that first time round.
As DrDick&Vick have said, it is indeed optional. But if anyone's showing as a Supporter and they don't want to they only have to PM me and I'll change that for them manually.
