I've just had a email from Gill Nunn Specialist Recreation AO East Anglia FC Area. They have just began a review of how they handle requests for permission to place a cache, and are currently not accepting any such requests.

However anyone who is looking to or has plans to place a cache on Land owned/managed by them, is still free to email Gill or Nicky Hooton (when she returns from Maternity Leave). And they will send details of the New Request Proccess on completion of the Review.

Hi
Do we have an update on this, i have contacted Nicky twice now, once in July and I was told its still being reviewed and again last month but have not even had a response.

Sorry but this is a Forestry Commission Internal Review, and neither the UK Reviewers nor the GAGB are included in the loop over this. We are in the dark and are playing a waiting game, the same as everyone else. As soon as any news is recieved, it will be immediately disseminated to the community.

Unfortunately the FC are understaffed and overstretched, so their main workload is taking priority I guess. With a Review of how Geocaching Applications are handled having a low priority. Again that is just a guess.
