Has anybody had any experience of getting a Magellan GPS repaired?

I currently have an Explorist 100 model which is in need of attention.

It appears that warranty repairs need to go across to a company in France, but my unit is now 4 years old.

I would very much appreciate any help with advice, or contact details for a chargable repair service in the UK

I've no experience of them, but I think you may find what you're looking for here (http://www.magellanhardware.com/pdf/service_contracts_brochure.pdf). (It's a pdf file).

Thanks for the response, Bill.

Unfortunately, that Magellan company is concerned only with the hardware sales / support of media duplication equipment.
OK if I want to rip off 5000 copies of a DVD, but no good for GPS repair

I took the bull by the horns today and dived inside my GPS unit.
The job was not as complicated as I first thought (part of the battery voltage sensor set-up), and I think that I have managed to sort it out.

Thanks again anyway.

Sorry to hear that you have been poorly.
Was it a batch of bad beer?   :lol:
