Over on the Live for the Outdoors forums, Graham Thompson, the Technical Editor of Trail Magazine had this to say in a thread about the Oregon vs Satmap :-

"There is a new unit coming out from Memory Map in a couple of months that will allow you to buy Memory Map software and then use it on your PC as well as your hand held GPS. I've seen a demo and the screen is very good, touch screen operation and about same size as the Garmin."

Anyone heard any more about this? Had a quick squizz through some threads here and couldn't see mention of it. Sorry if it's old news.

Don't think it's that one, but as I haven't posted enough on the forums I can't post a link to the new page with the details on. I can't even quote the reply above.

It's called the Adventurer 2800 if anyone wants to search for it. If mods think I am spamming in mentioning the name, just delete the post. Just trying to be helpful.

It may be no use for caching anyway.

Over on the other forums GS (https://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=232887) there's a thread started.
