Hi,
I've been geocaching now since March 09 and really caught the bug, however our team of 4 sadly became 2 and then quickly down to just me, with a real addiction to continue, was wondering if anyone knows of any groups in the shropshire area that I could join in with.
many thanks.

Have a look for events near you, that is a good way to meet up with people. From there develop a lot of friendships and caching buddies.

If there are no events then plan one yourself and people will come along. Most areas now have regular events set up.

The other thing you can do is put a post up in various forums saying which days you are going and where and you may find people will be available as well on those days.

The nearest forthcoming event to you seems to be this one - February Farewell Fling - (https://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=0bcdb6c4-5592-4113-b8ef-441380bf55f1) south of Birmingham.

As Bee Keeper suggested, you can always organise one yourself in your local area - the geocachers of Shropshire area would no doubt appreciate it.

(Just ask if you want any more help/suggestions with this idea.)

I was looking around to see which regional forum would cover Shropshire, but there doesn't seem to be one.

Shropshire? Where's that?

Only joking! I've cached there.
Bit out of the CacheWalker area, or maybe not...

Out of my regular area though.

Depending where you are in Shropshire and how far you are willing to travel, HazelS has an event in Chester tonight (Weds 20th).

Many shrops cachers frequent the NW caching forum.

Id recomend our caches followed by the MArcB classics (adopted by the bolas heathens) then onto fellsmanhikers cache after that go ofr the ARRKs caches and team maddie / guess who caches and a day on the long mynd is highly recomended.

I think an event at the three pigeons near nesscliffe would be welcomed especially as it has a night cache nearby ;)

Shropshire is a big county - which end of it are you?

We had two events in Oswestry in the run up to Christmas, there is talk of holding one at the 3 Pigeons in Nescliffe (specifically to do the nearby night cache) sometime in the spring.
