One million geocaches

Jeremy Irish has announced that the landmark figure of one million active geocaches was passed at the weekend!

Does that million include Navicaches, Opencaching etc.? ;)

Quite a few people on Facebook have asked Jeremy which cache was the millionth, but I don't think anyone knows. Caches don't of course necessarily become active in GC number order, so there's probably no easy way, and possibly no way, of finding out. The owner could be anyone who had one become active at the weekend!

No, it doesn't include caches other than ones listed on gc.com - it would be interesting to know the total of all active caches including those listed on TC, OC, NC etc.!
