Which GPS System

I am new to Geocaching and no nothing about GPS systems. I am also a keen Cyclist. Would a GPS system used by cyclist be ok for Geocaching. Look forward for any advice.

I suppose the answer is 'possibly'. I have friends who use their Garmin running watches to find caches.
