Hi everyone,

On Sunday 27th March myself and team Cornish Tyke will be taking part in a 16-mile charity dog walk across the Penwith Moors in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance. Since geocachers are such a kind and generous bunch, and more likely than most to require their service, I thought that I would invite you to sponsor us. :D

Due to Cornwall's rural and rugged nature, an air ambulance is invaluable and over the past 24 years they have saved the lives of numerous residents and visitors to the county. It costs £1.6 million each year to keep the ambulance in the air, so please donate whatever you can - who knows, one day you might need them.

Please visit http://www.justgiving.com/tinnersway for more details or to sponsor us.

Thanks!

Dan :)

Less than 24 hours to go now...

A big thank you to all of the geocachers who have already donated and helped us to reach the target that we set ourselves of £200. However it would be great if we could smash that, so if anyone else would like to make a donation then please visit http://www.justgiving.com/tinnersway

I suspect that the group as a whole has raised almost £1000 so far, but I will be back on Monday with the final total and to let you know how we all got on.

Thanks again,
Dan

Well, we finished the walk in six and a half hours, without our dog who had to be rushed to the vet on Saturday after being bitten by an adder and spent Sunday at home recovering.

There are still sponsorship forms to be collected, but between the eight walkers the total has already passed £1000 with money still coming in. The online sponsorship page will stay open for a few months, so it's not too late to donate: http://www.justgiving.com/tinnersway

Thanks again to everyone who has supported this walk in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance. Here are a few photos as promised:

I'm pleased to hear it all went well and you were able to raise such a substantial amount! I'm sorry to hear about the adder bite - I hope your dog's making a good recovery and will soon be out and about again! :)
