If you are in the Sussex area of the Sth East you could pop along to one of the monthlt Sussex Cachers meets, they are held on the third Wednesday of the month.
Check out the GAGB events calender (https://www.gagb.org.uk/forums/calendar.php?month=5&year=2011&c=2&do=displaymonth)

What GPS?
If you register a Garmin (https://www.geocaching.com/garmin/freetrial.aspx), you can get 30 days premium trial...

Just registered for the 30 day trial - so many thanks for bringing that to my attention

I've now got to give the premium membership a go - looking forward to trying pocket queries to use with both my Garmin Etex H but also with a trial of Cachesense loaded on the blackberry

Whilst your GPS may not make full use of the GPX files, being able to load lots of caches by PQ is very useful!

used easyGPS and loaded the PQ into Etrex very quick. Also found it easy to drop the zip file on blackberry and load into cachesense, which looks a great app.

now need to get out there - hopefully it will stay dry !
