What the GAGB for?

I know im new around here so my opinion is probably not worth much but here goes.
I'd really love caching and want to be involved in every part of the game but since I joined GAGB forum it appears the only people involved, here, are committee members discussing the committee.
Unless you/we reach out to new members the GAGB will continue to be a irrelevance which I do believe would be a great shame.

Firstly everyone's opinion is important so say what you want :)
plus I am one of the Committee people LOL
While it may be extremely quiet in here as it is in quite a few forums we have a very active Facebook group with about 750 members at the moment.
There are also a lot of regional FB groups which has recently been collated by Jen - Maple Leaf - another Committee member to show where they are all based.

Not quite sure what you mean by this as I do not consider the GAGB to be irrelevant???????

I agree that it is quiet on here at the moment, but other people, myself included do post on here if anything of relevance to myself or the wider community crops up. As Lilian (mollyjak) says the GAGB Facebook page is very busy. I am a member of quite a few forums and the input in to them has dwindled dramatically lately as Facebook has taken over. The thing with Facebook is that people can get almost instant feedback to anything that they post, whether that be a question or an observation. If you haven't already, have a look at the GAGB Facebook page and also Jen's excellent round up of local Facebook groups.

Not 'everyone' around here is a committee member!

As others have said, there's a lot of activity on the Facebook page.
Most Forums seem to be 'a little quite' at the oment.

While not all members are committee members there's a lot of posts all wanting non GAGB members barred from the forum you can only have relevance if you speak voice of the many not the few.
