The ballots for the 2015/16 Committee Election were sent via SurveyMonkey at 0015 this morning to all GAGB members of record as of 1st October 2015, except for those who explicitly requested to be removed from the distribution list.

Before you open your ballot, you may visit a special “GAGB Elections” board inthe GAGB forums at https://www.gagb.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53 (https://www.gagb.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53) (you may need to copy and paste the link into your browser depending on your e-mailapplication) to read the candidates' responses to questions posed to them.

Each ballot is tied to an e-mail address, so please do not forward the ballot e-mail to anyone else. Only one vote per ballot is allowed by SurveyMonkey.

The ballot "From" line reads: "ladybugs@geocachealaska.org viasurveymonkey.com"

The ballot "Subject" line reads: "Please Vote: 2015/16 GAGBCommittee Ballot Notification"

The above two lines of information should be helpful in locating your ballot in spam folders should you not receive the ballot in your inbox.

The poll will be open until midnight, GMT, Sunday, 22 November, 2015.

Thank you for your participation!

At your service,

Michael Malvick/Ladybug Kids
GAGB Returning Officer

Important to note, as it isn't obvious, you need to hit the Start Survey button to get to the vote.

Thanks, Rich. It can be confusing that my note talks about a "ballot," yet SurveyMonkey calls it a "survey."

I will adjust the language in the reminder e-mail that will go out in a couple of days.

During the first 20 or so hours the ballot has been available, SurveyMonkey reports 169 ballots have been completed.

E-Voting closes midnight GMT this Sunday, 22 November, 2015..Thanks, Sharon!

The reminder e-mail mistakenly stated "Friday, 22 November," and Sunday is the correct day of the week.

As of a few minutes ago, exactly 300 ballots had been cast.

We've had a couple of members report that they haven't received their ballot email - despite being submitted to SurveyMonkey. Although, one of those did then receive the reminder email.

If you are a GAGB member (prior to 1st Oct 2015) and have not received your email with the link to vote (begin survey button), then please get in touch ASAP (please also check your spam folders).

You will still be able to vote by emailing your choices directly to LadyBug Kids ( ladybugs@geocachealaska.org ) - but please include GAGB Vote: in your email subject.

You will also need to include your GAGB user name and registered email address in the body of the email, so that your membership can be verified and to ensure your SurveyMonkey vote hasn't been used.

LadyBug Kids will acknowledge your email/vote.

The voting period has now closed and the Q & A threads have been closed - thank you to all members that have voted.

As per the constitution (https://www.gagb.org.uk/constitution.php) (Section N - Elections)

11. Results of the election (winners, number of votes cast for each candidate) should be posted on the relevant GAGB forum (https://www.gagb.org.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?53-GAGB-Elections-Chairman-amp-Committee) within 24 hours of the close of the election.

12. If a vote results in a tie for a committee place then there will be another round of voting. Those who have more votes will be considered elected. Other candidates who have not tied will not be reconsidered. The second round of voting will only be for those who have tied for the last committee place(s). Each voting member will have only one vote to be cast for the candidate of his or her choice.
