View Full Version : Song lyrics game

KathyXB

Think its time we launched a new game for our daily diversions...

Okay: you give a line from the lyrics of a song, then people have to guess the next line AND (for bonus jwd points) the artist and title of the song. Correct guesser then sets the next one.

So to kick things off:

"but her friend is no where to be seen, now she walks through her sunken dream..."

:D

To the seat with the clearest view
And she's hooked on the silver screen,

David Bowie - life on Mars (May have got some of the words wrong though)

I could not foresee this thing happening to you"

keehotee

If I look hard enough into the setting sun my love will laugh with me before the morning comes

Paint it black - either the stones or echo and the bunnymen - though being blasphemus I of course prefer the latter.......

In war we're tough and able
something something something(can't remember the next line - if I ever knew it in the first place)(probably rhymes with table)
something something something
It's a busy life in Camelot,
I have to push the pram-a-lot. (my favourite line)

Knights of the round table - by monty python's flying circus, or the monty python cast, or the montys, or something

DR. Ape
24th April 2007, 09:10 PM
you get 1/2 a mark for the song, but the movie was Monty Python & The Holy Grail!!

ur turn

is this turning into you, us, you, us etc.

DR. Ape
24th April 2007, 09:29 PM
the song goes:

We sing from the diaphragm
a looooooot.
In war we're tough and able,
Quite indefatigable,
Between our quests we sequin vests,
And impersonate Clark Gable.
It's a busy life in Camelot,
I have to push the pram a lot.

i remember it off by heart

keehotee
25th April 2007, 06:31 AM
Why only half a mark? I got the next line, and the name of the song? You meany..... :P

They got a building down New York City, it's called Whitehall Street,
where you walk in, you get injected, inspected, detected, infected,
neglected and selected

And I need the FULL name of the song......

"I went down to get my physical examination one

keehotee
25th April 2007, 10:06 AM
Ok on the next line - but sadly no DING for the full title.........so un demi point only so far....

KathyXB

Okay, it may be on the album but blame itunes which had it listed as massacre...

Right then (blimey am unprepared, not used to getting these things right)

Bit easier probably:

Damon Albarn recorded an album called The Good, The Bad and The Queen with Paul Simonon from the Clash (amongst other people - like the bloke from the Verve).....album was really good - and the Cavern in Exeter was one of their first gigs - woohoo - and I couldn't get a ticket - boohoo
