Well i was going to do a poll but then you'd only be able to choose from a list that i thought of. To be honest that would have excluded lager and mass produced bitters, well and cider as well.

    so my favourite two are:

    Bowman ales

    or

    Ringwood brewery

Anything by Gales or Heavitree would be obvious if you knew the family ot where I live - so instead it'll have to be Hobgoblin (Wychwood) or Waggledance..... or, on a hot day, Hoegaarden...!! (on draught in the Red Barn &#33

    Hmmmmmmmmm
Any amateur (or otherwise) sociologists out there?
This thread has highlighted several points....either:-

    1. Geocachers don't drink lager (even proper lagers (even some mass produced ones))
    or
    2. Only real ale drinkers are likely to participate in GAGB forums.
    or
    3. We're all liars, and are partial to a pint of something fizzy from an aluminium cask on a hot day, but daren't admit it to our peers.
    or
    4. Bu66er that, I don't care how hot it is outside, I'm going to drink it warm and flat anyway.

....but that's because you only ever drink halves....... and not all lagers are fizzy pi55 - some of them are "real"

Lol, I must admit we usually have some Stella in the fridge but its more of a thirst quencher at mealtimes than a drink I would choose over a nice ale.... As I said before Dont try Broadside from a tin YUK!! Actually we drink Stella more as a "soft drink" .... Dunno what that says for us though LOL :P

drinking a pint doesn't make the drink taste any better or worse than a half!!!

and REAL lager is an oxymoron if ever there was one

Don't confuse disco-pi55 with lager - there's as many cr4p, mass produced "ales" on the bar as there are lagers....

    Try one of these-

Bock/Doppledock: Strong, heavy, medium to dark lager.
Dortmund: A clean lager, with a malty taste.
Dunkel: ('dark' in German) dark lager from Munich.
Helles: (pale beer): A pale golden lager, with a malty taste.
Oktoberfest/Märzen: A deep amber beer originally brewed in March.
Schwarzbier: A dark lager with a chocolate-like flavour.
Vienna Lager: A reddish brown beer with a malty taste.
Spezial: A storng, full-bodied, bittersweet lager.

    "No, oh no
You can't do a stoning, its over and done too quick.
Take them down to the local stocks and you can have
    more fun using:-

    1 good old tomatoes

    2 spuds

    3 eggs

    4 apples

    5 oranges

and to top it off those left over christmas
    Sprouts."

Ok I must admit to the odd John Smiths out of a tin when camping, along with Carlsberg, Tetley, Fosters if really pushed (and i mean really desperate&#33.

looks like it's time to start some sort of therapy group to ease you poor fools back into the real world of real beer.

    now repeat this phrase

" hello, my name's (insert name) and i've been drinking some chemical slush."

the first step may be the hardest but trust me it's worth it.

and it's that or the stocks h34r: :

"Unreal" beer doesn't have to be chemical slush - it could just be filtered before barrelling/bottling, to prevent further fermentation - or it could use bottom yeast instead of top........ both of which (according to CAMRA) prevent it from being "real" !

(But then, isn't having a big bushy beard, driving a Rover, and smoking a pipe also a membership requirement of CAMRA?)
(Should fit in well here, then)

carefull, i can think of at least one reviewer that fits that description  you might find getting any more caches approved difficult

and at the end of the day if you wish to pollute your body with those nancy boy drinks that just leaves more of the good stuff for the rest of us

ANY beer in a tin is an abomination , if it has to be prepacked at least use a proper glass bottle :P
