Apologies, seems like I've held the game up.

Ok in 800 days from today (being January 3rd 2013) at 09:26:53 hrs there will be a significant mathematical occurrence. What is it?

no idea, I immediately thought something to do with pi, maybe 800 days away was 14th of March and using the American mm:dd we'd get 3.14..but the rest of your numbers are quite specific, and don't fit. I'll ponder...

    You have it correct

Pi (Π) is3.1415926535 (to 10 places - my school days coming back).

If we take ddmmyyhhmmss you get 031415092635 (you have to drop the 0 in the hh though)

I thought I had it wrong though, not using the correct formatting(completely missing the year), so its got to be Stuart who gets to set the next question (copping out as can't think of one and busy trying new roms on my phone )

In keeping with our caching moniker.

Who, in the original Star Wars trilogies (New Hope, Empire and Return of the Jedi), was the only non jedi/sith to wield a lightsaber?

Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back. When he uses Luke's saber to slice the Taun Taun open after being attacked by the Wampa on Hoth.

I really did just type that sentence. I need to go drink beer and look at women or something.

All I understand of that is "I need to go drink beer and look at women or something.", and I worry about the "something"

Affirmative !! The problem was that I had a progressive Bohemian mother who ensured that I could read properly before I went to school ! The teachers could not believe I was reading the Ransome books (Swallows and Amazons etc., ) and did not need reading tests as I was encouraged to look up in the dictionary any word that I was not sure of ! We had a set of the Oxford dictionaries including Shorter, quotations and a pocket edition that I carried about with me for 20 odd years. My ambtion was to own an Encyclopedia Brittanica which I only realised when it was put our on CD a few years back. This has led me over the years to become a card carrying member of the Association for the Abolition of the Abberant Apostrophe amongst other book clubs, Reading clubs and debating societies. Just got a new Kindle reader and already up to 120 books on it !!

Oops, I guess I should ask a question!

The opening fanfare from ""Also sprach Zarathustra" was used as the introductory theme music for which film? (it was also used at a key point in the film).

I think I know the piece, but can't put it to a film. If it's sci-fi (going on your previous knowledge - above) then I have a limited interest.

Probably going to show my ignorance of classical music, but I'm guessing 2001.
Sadly I'm guessing I don't get the point for having read the Nietzsche book with a similar title

The way we usually work is that the person who gets the right answer sets the next question !! But you have set a hard one - no good to me

I know very little about footie, so I'll go back to my youth and guess the Leeds Goalies from the 70's Gary Sprake (who I know was the Wales goalie) and David Harvey (not sure if he was ever International).

Sorry. I didn't realise. It is a hard one, I don't think anyone will get it but will give it a few days more :-)
