    Anyway:

    What connects the following:

    Lilly Allen
    Mark Wahlberg
    Ann Boleyn (reputedly)
    Chandler (from Friends)
    Me

    Ok a little music quiz.
Below are some lyrics from 3 songs that include a lady's name, give the lady's name and the song title.
2 out of 3 gets the DING

1} Your lips feel like winter, your skin has turned to white.

2} She got a police bike, she got a turned up nose.

3} Thought she was a woman but she was another man.

Ok a nice easy music question:

What was Ike and Tina Turner's last UK hit single, reaching number 4 in 1973? It was rerecorded by Tina Turner in 1991 but only managed to reach No. 23?

Not from me, I'm afraid. I thought it might be "River Deep, Mountain High", but I googled to check if I was right, and accidentally found the correct answer.

What was particularly notable about the rescue of the crew of the Forrest Hall, on the evening of 12th / morning of 13th Jan1899?

Pure guess. I'm sure it was around that date so it could be the one at Porlock where they couldn't launch the lifeboat because of the high seas and so they manhandled it over a headland during the night, to launch it on the other side.

Another guess. Was it the first rescue by the RNLI?

    Ding to Roger.

The lifeboat was at Lynmouth but they couldn't launch due to the high sea. So 60 men and 100 horses pulled a 10 tonne boat & trailer up a 1-in-4 hill, over 15 miles of moor, down another 1-in-4 hill and launched from the beach at Porlock. They sent a team of men ahead with equipment to widen the tracks, cut down trees and demolish walls so they could get through. And they got everyone off alive.

Fascinating story if you ever get the chance to read it.

It's a "dummy" strip of motorway built for training purposes at the national Fire Training college just outside Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire.

    Thats a DING to Bill.

If you look on GE you
can see a 4 car shunt on the "Motorway" and on the railway line it looks as though a car has hit a train on a level crossing.

Thanks! I used sometimes to drink in the pub that some of the staff at the Fire College used, which made that a fairly easy one to answer!

    Ok, next question:

What was the name of the character played by Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption?
