    Default HTML on this board

How does one enter HMTL onto this board? The "Insert link" button just accepts the reference without allowing a place to put the label.

    E.g.
    https://www.geocaching.com/seek/cach...9-85ec7455ca25 appears just like that.

And <a href='https://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=bb6e6df2-b4db-40bb-afc9-85ec7455ca25'>GC4A97</a> will appear just as text.

Having tried it out it seems to be :-

Type the Label. Highlight it. Click the link button and put in the URL. OK

    Job done.

Yes, I think Just Roger's method is the best one.

You can also do it manually, like this, but using square brackets [] not curly ones:

    Cheers, Bill.

I visit about half a dozen forums regularly, and every one of them does this differently .

BBCode (the square brackets method of 'simple html') is by far the most standardised forum formatting markup, practically every worthwhile forum software supports it.

The geocaching.com logs also support BBCode to some extent.
If there was a competition for witty signatures, I'd come last.
