I know it has recently been mentioned in the GC forum - but I can't find it, so thought it would be easier to just ask here.

Are the phone number and call charges listed in the pinned topic still correct?

I am in the process of setting a new cache and would like to use the number (and will put in the call charges).

Also, do I need to tell anybody that I am using it ?

The number is still correct, and no, you don't need to tell anybody you're using it - it's available for all UK cachers to use, GAGB members or not. Dave of The Wombles is the best person to advise about charges - I'm sure he'll be along in a while.

I've just checked the charges - our service is provided by YAC.com - and they've gone up to 50ppm at all times of day/week.

Theoretically you should note the charges wherever you use the number (ie on shash notes etc).

We'll update the relevant GAGB webpage.

I have just noticed that the pinned topic contacting GAGB by phone needs the price per minute updating .... or at least putting a link to the page with the correct info - which I assume is still 50p per minute.

Could one of the committee members please update it.

Thanks for pointing that out - I've now corrected it.

Guess who never read the other post and printed all his stash notes last night with this message at the bottom of them?

Please be aware that calls to this number will be charged at 37.5 pence per minute (ppm) at peak times, 25 ppm evenings and 12.5 ppm weekends to the caller.

    No prizes for guessing

Sorry about that! I'd forgotten that we had a forum post about it as well as the web page, until Maple Leaf pointed it out.

No worries, there weren't that many to do.
