    Default A quick question..

A quick question (or several) to Bill or any of the other committe members who might be able to help me

When the time comes around again for me to advertise my calendars (dont worry it wont be for a while yet )

On the GAGB am I allowed to advertise my calendars?

Am I allowed to name the charity the proceeds will go to?

Am I allowed to say the price of the calendars?

And can I link to a Just Giving page where the money for the calendars can be paid?

Many thanks in advance for any information

    Mandy

Although I'm not an "insider" I would hope that the answers would be "yes" to all of them. Mind you, I don't think it worthwhile asking the same questions "over there"! h34r:

    Yes.

Provided it's all for charity, and I know that is the case, then it's just, well, yes...!

Thanks very much for the information

I am going to post on a few of the smaller regional forums, I think I should be OK with most of them..

Oh another couple of questions for maybe Peter or Dave ..

Do the words Geocaching or Geocachers belong to GC.Com ?

Could my calendars still be Geocaching Calendars or Geocachers Calendars?

And what about a picture/avatar for the calendars, obviously I wont be able to use Signal the Frog or the GC logo, but if someone draws a logo or a Signal the Frog is that still copyright?

    Hi Mandy,

Groundspeak don't own the term geocaching or geocachers. So yes your calendars could still be called geocaching calendars as thats what they are.

You could try the link below for some free to use public domain geocaching logos

Public Domain Geocaching Logos (link opens in another browser)

Its good to see common sense prevailing on here.:coffee:

Oh theres loads and loads of logos on there thanks Ian

So can I use any of those without the risk of being "sued" or would it be nicer to email the owner of the logo and ask if I could use it on a calendar?

And I can call it an Geocachers/Geocaching Calendar

Reminds me of the first words dodgydaved said to me at the Mega Event "don't let the b******s get you down" "oh hello you must be Mandy"

I think we will get along just fine using the regional forums...who needs the big boys
