Google Earth missing from My Profile on GC?

Hi All,

I have just noticed that the Google Earth Geocaching overlay link is no longer available from the My Profile page on GC. hmy:

Has it gone for good, or is it now hidden away somewhere?

I'm sure that I'm not the only one to find the feature very useful.

It's gone for good, I'm afraid. It was removed as part of the latest update to gc.com

They say that only around 200 people worldwide were using it so there was no real demand for it. They also say that it was putting an enormously heavy load on their servers. Go figure...

I have just been over to the DS and found the thread which "explains" it all.

I started a thread on "t'other forums", as I can still see them on my laptop, but not on my main computer, which I don't use that often, thankfully!
