We have just placed our first cache, however we didn't realise there was another one over the other side of the vale that has the same name, we only found out when the FTF'rs told us in the log. Should we change the name of our one?

If it's close, it would avoid confusion.
Can you add something to the name, like a description, or is there a local name to distinguish between the two sides?
Or just add Cachename -North (or South/East/West)
I have a Geocaching problem...
Work gets in the way!

Walking and Caching in Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire areas
Having looked, I can't see another cache with the same name near to your cache.
As such I wouldn't bother to change the name...
Thank you
I can't see another either. Even one that has been archived recently(ish). You could always add Oving to the name. The only other active Vale View in the UK is near Broadway in the Cotswolds so I wouldn't worry about it.
Could it be that the finders GPS is shortening the name....and they've got 2 "Vale"s showing?
The guy was probable talking about the GC1GFZX which is 'closeish'.
Meh, bit far fetched, just leave yours as is.
Id suspect the reference is to GCW6PA Fabulous view of the Vale which is over at Wendover. Nice bit of symmetry in my mind
Caches round these parts often have vale in the title given the area... no need to rename in my mind, call it what you want...
go away for the weekend and someone sticks a new cache right on your doorstep.. so thats my evening probably sorted...

ps nice spot if I remember correctly, used to be part of a multi by SP
Could the "other" one be on another listing site?
Bearing in mind it's THIS ONE that was archived 2 years ago, I wouldn't worry about it.
