Default Article in the Camping & Caravan Club magazine

It would seem that there is a reasonable article on Geocaching in the latest issue.
As soon as my copy arrives I will PDF it at post a link on here for anybody that would like to read it.

A cacher local to me has scanned a copy which I've uploaded for her.

In view of possible copyright problems I have removed the link, I will contact the C&CC myself and seek advice from them. (I being DrDick&Vick)

    Make your mind up!!!

First you allow the link and even go as far to promote it on the gc forums but just a few hours later you change your mind

Even a PM alerting me to the issues would have been nice

    Steady on.
It was pointed out to me that we might be contravening Copyright law.
I have spent over 30 mins on the phone to the C&CC trying to get it cleared and I am awaiting a decision from the Camping & Caravan Club as to whether we can post a link or not.

Well I was hoping for some form of apology

If you would have said from the outset it was a copyright issue I would have respected that - but you not only approved it but also used that link as a ploy to attract traffic from the gc forum.

I'm guessing you received a PM from someone which in turn prompted you to post copyright notices here and on GC making me look like the criminal.

FFS have some backbone and stand by your decisions!

As I've said elsewhere apart from the landowner database I have never seen the point of the GAGB and this issue just amplifies that- although I'm happy to remain a forum user could you please remove me from the GAGB members.

I apologise for the mistake I made, I acted in all good faith but once it was pointed out that there could possible be a copyright issue I removed the link.

I only made the post on the GC forum as a service to fellow cachers.

Many thanks for your apology, much appreciated

Now, as per my previous request could you also remove my GAGB membership.

    TIA

Have just found out that the person who is responsible for the decision is out of the office until 1st Dec. Juts playing safe folks as don't want to cause any problems with copyright.

Have just heard back from the C&C Club to the effect that they cannot give the ok for the article to be reproduced due to the fact that they do not own the copyright for the article and the images displayed within it.
    Sorry folks.
