Hi, can some one please point me in the right direction, i want to thank a poster for there comments but can not find how to do it

There's a 'thanks' button to the bottom right of the post you wish to thank.

You might be right, I hadn't though of that - you'll see it bottom here though:

I don't think you need a minimum number of posts before you can use the "Thanks" button, but you're welcome to use the "For testing purposes" forum to up your post count if you do want to try that.
