Garmin Nuvi - maps?

Is there anywhere that I can get maps showing footpaths and very minor roads to add on to my Nuvi? Also, how can I find out how much memory it has available?

I know you can get them for selected areas got the Oregon. Have you tried emailing Garmin, from their conact detailks on their website? I found them really helpful.
