    Default Geocaching stats

I've tried searching the forum for this but couldn't find any reference to it.

Is there any way of displaying your stats from Geocaching.com in your signature on this forum? I have a similar thing with my Xbox 360 stats that I can display in my signature on a couple of gaming forums I frequent and thought it might be a nice touch so others can see how many finds & hides we have.

If it is possible, please can someone explain how?

    Many thanks.

For some sites you can do it directly from geocaching.com, but that method won't work in our forums.

You'll find another way of doing it on Lil Devil's caching site here. I think that'll work, but if it doesn't post again and I'll take a look at the relevant forum settings.

Well, I tried it but still can't get it to work. Here's the string that I got from Lil Devil's site...

    <a href="https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=32a7d2af-a16e-40b6-8680-d3704bdeb7e2" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.lildevil.org/stats/gc/32a7d2af-a16e-40b6-8680-d3704bdeb7e2/1/So+near+and+yet%2C+so+far....jpg" border="0" alt="Profile for Buckleberry" title="Profile for Buckleberry"/></a>

...but I can't work out what needs to be in the string or deleted from it. I've tried all different combinations but obviously, not the right ones!

If you have time to have a look I'd be most grateful.

    Many thanks.

Ok, I've got it to work as you can see, but I can't get the code to display, even though I'm changing the brackets in it so that the forum software should display the code not the result. I've emailed you with the code.

Edit: Hmm, the stats bar was showing in the Preview.
    Edit: Now it's showing again!

For the benefit of anyone else who wants to do this, first get your code from Lil Devil's site (link above).

Then edit the code. Delete everything up to and including <img src="

Replace the bit you've deleted with (IMG) but use square brackets not round ones.

At the end of the code, delete " border="0" alt="Profile for your user name" title="Profile for your user name"/></a>

Replace that bit with (/IMG) Square brackets again.

If it doesn't work, check for errors in your editing, especially with punctuation marks.

Thanks ever so much, Bill. Have emailed my regards to you! I don't normally stumble on this like this but it was driving me round the bend..!

Now it's there, and hopefully shall remain so, updating as and when...

    Thanks again.
