Question eTrex H and Apple iMac

I'm trying to get my eTrex H to accept data from the Geocaching web site.
I've downloaded Garmin Communicator and the test page tells me that it is installed OK. However the site will not recognise that I have a GPS unit connected.
I'm using an apple iMac G5 PPC computer with a Garmin eTrex H GPS.
Is there anyone on this forum using the same set up as me who can advise me?
    Thank you.

Flip4Mac causes problems, if it's installed... Not sure if that's using Safari.
Safari isn't the best of browsers for Geocaching.com...

I used MacSimpleGPS. Old but does the job. A case of download the GPX file, then use MacSimpleGPS to load the GPS.

MacCaching gets good reviews from a lot of Mac cachers.
    I have a Geocaching problem...
    Work gets in the way!

Well so far so good! I've got MacsimpleGPS installed and working, but there's no way I can get it to recognise my GPSR. I've tried every setting in the "Interface" menu but with no luck.
Can anyone advise me on this.
I'm using a Mac G5 iMac non Intel PPC, and a Garmin eTrex H GPSr.
