Despite growing up in the New Forest and spending the past 10 years on Dartmoor, I've never had a tick (that I know of....). However, the Scottish Mega lot were selling these on their stand at last year's Mega, so there's one permanently clipped to my pack now - just in case

Just been chuntering across fields of sheeps with dogs for "Sheephouse Stash" (Eastleach Martin) - which, after fording stream and dogs trying to pull me in I managed to bag. Didn't think ticks were about yet - Thanks - will examine dogs carefully - horrible things. We got a specialist tick removing thing from vet last year as we caravan in lots of "sheeping" fields and they are the devil to remove. If you don't get the whole thing the wound festers and poor old dog keeps scratching !!!
    Thanks again

Highly recommended, Very effective, safe, and cheap

My Border Collies always come back loaded with ticks (lots of deer and foxes around here), and de-ticking them is almost a daily ritual at this time of the year.
Try not to let your mind wander...........
It's too small and fragile to be out by itself
