CustomMaps for Dakota 20 using an Apple Mac
Hi
I use a Dakota 20 ((Software Version 3.10, GPS Software Version
4.25), in conjunction with a Mac running OS X (10.5.8).
I have tried to create a custom map, using the recommended procedure, and, according to Garmin support, appear to be doing everything correctly.
With my GPS connected to the computer, I can see the newly created CustomMaps folder via Finder, and I can also see the KMZ files sent there by Google Earth. However, once the GPS is disconnected and I try to select my CustomMaps by selecting Setup>Map>Map Information Select Map, I am only presented with two choices, my Garmin Discoverer map (preloaded on a micro SD card), and the basic WW Basemap NR map.
Has any Mac user been successful in creating CustomMaps for their Dakota 20?
Any help much appreciated.
