Default Dumb question - Garmin nuvi 1340 car satnav.

Dear all those with IT knowledge,

I've recently upgraded my car satnav to a Garmin nuvi1340 and very nice it is too.

I've wanted to do caches along a route and have managed to get the GPX file onto my MAC hard drive.

So, I now have a folder on my MAC hard drive entitled 536006 which contains two GPX files 5360036-wpts.gpx and 5360036.gpx.

Question. Do I transfer the folder to the Garmin satnav or the two individual files?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hi

You need the contents of the folder, not the folder itself. I expect you will also find a gpx folder on the Nuvi - copy them into that.

    the .gpx is the 'caches'
the wpts.gpx is the waypoints (parking, stages etc)

    Default Thanks Maple Leaf.

Thanks Maple Leaf. This works and ready for my trip up north.

I'll just wait to see what my lovely wife says when she sees all these yet to be discovered caches. hmy:
