    Default Committee Elections

It's that time of year again. So we need to nominate and elect a new chairman and committee. To vote you need to be a full member of the gagb with a cut off date of this thursday coming: 7th oct at midnight.

    Then the following dates apply:
nominations for chair open: 9th oct close 15th oct
voting for chair open 17th oct close 22nd oct

nominations for committee open 24th oct close 29th oct
voting open 31st oct close 5th nov

Please forward this to any forums that you are members of so that all know in good time to join.

    Hello All:

I've been invited to serve as your Returning Officer for this year's elections. Erik88l-r, who served previously, had to relinquish the role due to time constraints.

I am currently serving as the Webmaster and Forum Moderator for GeocacheAlaska!, Inc. at (apparently can't post the link to our website until I post a few more times, but you can find it in my signature line below), Alaska's geocaching organization and have served on other Boards of Directors in various capacities.

I met some of you at the recent "Oxford Gathering" and have traded geocoins and corresponded with many others during the six-plus years I have been geocaching.

I look forward to working with you on a successful election campaign.

    Regards,

Ooooo...are those local brews from Bath's "Beau Nash?"

MissJenn and I thoroughly enjoyed the brews and fare there and the price was right, too!

Mike, Bath is just a few miles from me and I was there yesterday - only a little time for caching but did have an excellent meal. I think you found a couple of my caches there.

Yes, we found your Hot Springs, Bath and The First King of England (Bath) last month. Interestingly, I found your An Englishman in DC last May during a family vacation and Cuckoo Cache (could be anywhere) when it passed through Anchorage in 2007. I guess we go back further than I thought!

Cool! That Cuckoo cache certainly gets around: 61,000 miles so far.

    Mike,

We did include the election information in the Newsletter which was mailed to all members listed on the forum on 23rd October. The newsletter is also listed in the members section of the forum.

The election has also been posted in the GC forums, GAGB Facebook and Twitter pages, the news page of the main forum, ticker tape and RSS feed of the website, and it's included in the event calendar.

No worries I have just checked my emails and apart from the email about the accounts (and the following one with the correct link ) that is the only email I have had since Newsletter Issue 2 in April. I have checked and my email address is correct and there is nothing in the spam bin. But as I said no worries I have been a bit busy and unable to visit many forums lately so I would not have seen them on there .
