Thumbs up The New GAGB Forum Portal

The forum now has a portal that brings everything that's new and lots of usefull information onto one page.

The link to it can be seen on the menu bar as 'Portal'.

The portal has lots of information on collapsible blocks, you can click on the collapse buttons on any of the blocks that you don't want to see and the page should remember your selections the next time you visit. You can always click on the un-collapse button to read the info later. That way you can tweak the page to your liking.

Some of the information presented through the portal is:
    • Last five posts on any threads - Handy to see whats new.
    • Latest three threads posted.
    • Users online.
    • Polls.
    • Events calendar.
    • Arcade stats.
    • Search box.
    • Forum Stats.
    • Buddy List.
    • News Archive.
    • Moderators Controls (usefull to the mods).
Some of you may like it, the purists may hate it. It's simply there for your convenience if you so wish to use it.

I always use the 'Portal' as my default view and have done for the past 2 years ..... but was just wondering whether other people do?

If you don't, what is your preferred view?

I have a link to the "New Posts" page, so it just shows threads with new posts since I was last here, I suppose the downside of using that is that I don't see any of the other pages.
