Assuming that I am only allowed to nominate one person for the position of Chairman .....

I would like to nominate Dave 'The Wombles'
    GAGB member since 2005
GAGB Committee member 2010 to 2016 (Chair 2012 to 2015)
UK Mega Event Chairman 2009 (Weston-super-Mare)

And I'll second Richard (due in no small part to the huge amount of work he's put in this year on our behalf - keep it up!)

Don't forget, those nominated, you have to accept or decline nomination.

and on that note I'm inclined to decline the nomination as I feel that I haven't had my heart in the role and there are several others that are much more dedicated and hard working who could do the role much better than myself.

Many thanks for the nomination which I accept. I can put more time into GAGB than I've been able to do in the past and so would be happy to stand for election as Chairman.

I'd also be happy to support another Chairman if elected back onto the committee - Richard in particular has worked very hard in support of GAGB.

I appreciated the confidence shown in me and thanks for the nomination.
I feel that to be a good chairman you need a really good knowledge of the Association and that at this moment in time I need to gain some more knowledge.
I therefore will decline the nomination but will assure whoever is elected, should I be re-elected to the committee, that I will give contiue to give 100% support .

    Nominations are now closed.

Dave, Richard and myself were nominated. Both Richard and I declined the nomination.

I'm very happy to be able to declare the Dave is the new chairman for the GAGB. Good Luck to him and please be assured of my support in the future.

    Thanks Matt.

I appreciate the nominations and confidence. I hope that I can help translate this into another successful year for GAGB.

Matt thanks for your work for GAGB as Chairman and I'm sure I speak for the committee in saying that we appreciate your strong and vocal support on various projects through the year.

I'm hoping that there will be lots of nominations for the committee when those open in a week's time; this will give us another strong committee to translate many more of the good ideas from the year into action.
