No worries Tony and Carina. I will add you and include you to the week 2 update.
Dave
I love the way this is catching on
Great graphs Fermentum, thanks for the hard work.
When deciding to take part in this fun game, I had already made a decision to record my driving and walking mileage for the year. Just for info, in these first 7 days, whilst my coin has racked up a little under 400 miles, I've driven 593, and walked 19.1

...miles to go before I sleep...
Is there a rule about YOSM? I bagged one yesterday about 10 miles from home (about 4 miles from my previous cache) but get over 100 miles cos of where it is listed at the moment. Today I did a local cache and get another 100+ miles as the coin "returns" from where YOSM is listed at the moment. Would have been even better if it had been in Shetland or similar! I'm not moaning (in fact I'm benefiting) but it occurs to me that it does skew the mileage record somewhat.

YOSM are not included.
Jacaru posted the mileage rules in a separate thread (sticky at the top of this forum) a few days ago.

It's a Grandfathered cache (No longer allowed to be set, but is allowed to carry on as a cache)
It moves around the country. It's Trig Pillars -Survey Monuments- which can be logged as a cache (there's no log to sign, just email the required info to the cache owner) and can be logged as a find from previous placements...
Hope that makes sense! Go and read http://www.yosm.org.uk/

Thanks Bear and Ragged thats really cool!
MJ I think your about 208 miles over but not sure until you get a chance to delete the log, thanks Dan for pointing out how to do this!
Thanks for doing these, however I don't understand the figures. On the total so far image my figures look right (about 50 miles) yet the week 2 figures for me show over 200 miles. Is it just me?
Cheers,
Stuey

Just looked at them and I think it may be a small blip that Fermi will look at.
Well spotted Stuey, whats happened is I took all of the peoples forum names and had them on the list, I noticed that Ryuchan was Team Noodles on the coin so I changed to Team Noodles. After last week when it was requested to sort alphabetically I sorted one with Ryuchan in and the other with Team Noodles in, so that meant a few went out of sync! Thanks for pointing it out, I have corrected it now.
Yeah no worries, something I missed out, sorry about that everyone, all sorted now.

Late Entry Alert!
Many thanks to DrDick&Vick for rushing A GAGB geocoin out to me, as I'm now able to make a late entry into the 2011 Milage Tracker game.
My coin's tracking number is TB3Y2VC; The VC stands for Victorious Coin
Happy caching, STP
Glad you got the coin and welcome to the mileage game.
Show the coin to others as there are a few left.
After being more or less house bound since October with a fractured left ankle, I am at last going to start driving again tomorrow as have just got a new company car - automatic
So I will be clocking up plenty of miles in the coming weeks .... just need time to find some caches at the furthest points (although, they may have to be drive bys as I can't walk very far yet).
So let this mileage comp begin

Hi Guys really enjoying dipping our coin and have managed to clock up 547 miles and hopefully get to our 1000 cache this year before 31st Dec 2011, we are on 245 hope we can do it!!!!
Am I too late to join the fun?
No, not too late, just register your coin or TB and let Fermentum know the number, then retro visit any caches that you have done since Jan 1st.
Fermi, you must let everyone know when enough is enough as you are the one doing all the work on this.:socool:
This Is good fun and it's keeping me informed of my milage  but does anyone know or well pete what do you do to rack up so many miles ?????
woohoo! I reached 100 miles today
No like Jacaru said just PM me the coin details when your have it up to date and all your finds on there.
No worries at the moment. It takes about half an hour at the moment so not bad really.
Pete has logged at least one find every day appart from 3 days since the start. He has 127 finds! All over the country!
Well done dosk, remember to add the 100 miles badge to your signature!
Welcome to ClareLouise and Mr Donut who have joined in this week. You both will be included in Week 4 updates.
Also just to let you all knoe. I will be okay for week 4 stats but I will be in Egypt for week 5 so will have to skip a week.
Dave
how dare you  have a great time :socool:Also just to let you all knoe. I will be okay for week 4 stats but I will be in Egypt for week 5 so will have to skip a week.
Dave
Not sure how your compiling the stats etc but I will offer my help in covering your holidays etc if that is any good.
Andy
I presume DNF's are not valid, even if you spent time looking before a happy (not) security guard decided to stand 3 ft from you.
I had an unactivated TB Tag, but in the spirit of the race, I have ordered a GAGB coin and asked the code to be emailed. Will PM once it arrives. Thanks for letting me join.
Its up to you. It would take a while to copy all 40+ links for each coin. Once you have them its a case of putting every new total onto the sheet. The sheet does the rest. If you want me to I will send you the sheet with the steps to do the week?
EDIT: Forget that, I just dragged the bookmarks into the Excel sheet and they work from there! PM me your email if you don't mind doing it for the week.

Have just tried to dip mine in the three caches we found in Devizes and it just doesnt want to play.
Just discovered that it works ok for me in IE but not any good in Firefox.
Looks like a complete re-install back to scratch. Oh boy don't you just love computers

Walker Clan said he will have a bash at the Week 5 update. DrDick will you assist in allowing for the post of the stats when its needed please?
Cheers
Dave
If the email me to say when they intend to upload I will unlock the thread for them.
NOT HAPPY HOLIDAY CANCELLED!
As the Rioting has now spread to Luxor Thomson have cancelled all flights to there until further notice. What a pile of rubbish.
So I maybe here to do it after all.
Wahoo - slipped over the 100 mile barrier this weekend!

Is it too late to join in with this? Mr Smithbat got a travelbug t shirt for Christmas and we decided to dip him into every cache this year. We started at our nearest one, are we too late?
