Exclamation Save our Lake District Forests

I feel it deserved a mention as it looks like The Government want to sell off England's publicly owned forests, which include forests and woodlands across the Lake District such as Grizedale, Whinlatter and Ennerdale. I for one Love the Lake District !!

Also all the caches that have been placed in good faith maybe lost, we need to make it clear how we feel about our forests before it is too late.

I'm totally against this sale of the family jewels I have already signed up to the petition and would encourage everyone else to do so, the petition is not just for Lakeland forests but every wooded area under threat.

I've also signed the petition. I'm totally opposed to any sell-off of our forests and woodlands - in my opinion these areas should remain in public ownership in perpetuity and remain as open as possible to all who wish to enjoy them.

And from a caching viewpoint the proposed sell-off could lead to the archiving of many caches, and could destroy many hard-won agreements with major landowners.

I hope it's not too late for this shortsighted proposal to be consigned to the scrapheap.

I have added my signature. This madness must be stopped.
I set myself the target to under achieve. Paradoxically, I think I've achieved it.
