Default TB Race Starting January 1st, 2012

I am starting a new TB race which runs from January 1st next year. For anyone who is interested you can find more details at www.tbairrace.blogspot.com

This is likely to be a very difficult race for any entries to achieve all the goals which should make it more fun to watch.

As with the Nottingham to Nottingham race a winners coin will be made for the owner of the first TB that does achieve all six goals.

It won't be the easiest of races to win, but should be fun watching.

Our other race, Nottingham to Nottingham is about to be won on the US side by a coin that has travelled from Nottingham New Hampshire and is about to reach Nottingham, UK tomorrow or Friday and the race only started in September!

Details of that one are at www.usuktbrace.blogspot.com

    Default help with a race?

    Hi Jacaru,
Sorry this is not to join the race but to ask for some advice on how to set up a simple race or pointers to where I might get help. I have six fish which I want to send off travelling but would like to be able to display them on a page together to update their progress. Does that make sense? It is quite late for me.
    Hope you can help
    Happy caching and travelling
    Gerald

    Hi

I recently came across this site (tb-run.com) that might be just what you want.
This page is for a TB race from New Zealand to Bristol that is starting in a few weeks time ..... will help you see what it will look like (even though this is only in the prep stage)

Hiya, sorry I haven't replied sooner. Been tied up with ill mum in law and birth of pups today.

As Mapleleaf says the site that she pointed out is pretty good although I haven't used it. For the races that I have organised I have set up Facebook pages so that people can comment on where their entries are and then also blogs so that I can update them once a week/fortnightly. The blog is easy to set up, I use blogspot and Facebook is also straightforward. I keep a check on entries by following each entry so that I can an update everytime it is picked up and dropped off somewhere.
If you decide to carry on and need more help feel free to ask. I also have a geocoin made for the winners of the races that I have set up, although this isn't obligitory of course.

    Cheers and good luck.

If anybody on here is near The Gatwick Airport Travel Bug Hotel could you either move The Podcache Show Airlines TB on or if you can't, just check it's still there! Thanks

Sorry I think I have only just found this , but my memory is so poor I might have seen it before. Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I'm not a fan of facebook, but the TB-run site seems to suit my simple needs. Happy caching.
