I wish someone would bring me a new GPS, was it free for nothing?

    Is that the Bluetooth Unit?
What unit are you going to use it with?

I'm not posh enough for an Oregon...I'm hoping this is a step in the right direction, a bit better than phone-alone

Yep, its a portable blue tooth GPs unit - I bought this very model on "Amazon" after Dr Dick gave a tutorial about them - blue tooth to mobile phone and "enable" the mock GPS signal after disabling the phone's GPS unit - saves battery by not using the phone's built in GPS and is more accurate using more satellites ! useful for ad hoc caching when out shopping with "she who must be obeyed" ""

You did well - mine cost £30.00 !! - works ok but could not thread a lanyard through the little tiny hole ! I bought some sticky velcro and now have it hanging from the strap of phone lanyard

Ditto that. I use the copilot mini for phone caching but the proper GPSr for a whole day out.

Phone and CoPilot for impromptu caching only, don't always carry the GPS but always have the phone.
