    Default Greetings

    Hi,

I have been interested but not very active in geocaching for a few years now. My wife and I have taken it up more seriously recently but I only found out about the GAGB today so hence this is the first post. I have a long time interest in GPS technology so geocaching goes hand in had with it for me. I live in Ulverston, Cumbria on the southern edge of the Lake District. Would like to find a local event or two sometime.

Welcome Wrongway, we love caching in your area, there is some fantastic scenery.

You can find a full list of events across the country in our events calendar

We have few members in your area so hopefully someone will be able to tell you about specific local events shortly.

Hello and welcome to the GAGB forums.

Looking at the current list of events in the North West, the closest (currently published) to you is going to be on 20th January:
    Lune Valley: Jaundiced January Jaunt

Then off course there is the annual UK Mega event that is being held at Cartmel racecourse ..... but you have to wait until August for that

The North West cachers are very sociable and will make you very welcome. You will be able to catch up with a lot of them at www.nwcaching.co.uk

Thank's for that. I have been looking at the calendar and have seen a few promising events. I will join the local NW forums as well.
