    Lightbulb GAGB Facebook Group

A 'new style' Facebook group has been created for the GAGB - which should be more interactive than the old group as it has the notification functionality.

GAGB - UK & Ireland caching news

It is an 'open group' which means everyone on Facebook can view the group and join. The group will appear in search results and all content (e.g., photos, videos and discussions) is visible to anyone viewing the group.

Joining a group does not expose the content of your facebook profile to any group members who would not normally be able to see that information. The privacy settings for your account control the openness of your profile, regardless of the groups you join.

You will need to ask to join the group and either a member of the committee or one of your existing FB friends will accept you .... or you can be invited by any member of that group (i.e an existing FB friend).

Once you have joined, there is an 'Edit Settings' button at the top right of the group page where you can personalise which notifications you want to receive.

If you wish to leave the group, go to the group and click "Leave Group" in the right column. Clicking this link removes you from the group's member list and also removes the group from your list of groups. You will no longer get group notifications or see group stories in your News Feed.

The 500th member has joined the facebook group this evening.

This is becoming a very popular and active group - thanks to everyone for participating and helping the newbies.
