    http://www.change.org/petitions/gosp...ack-to-gosport

that can be signed by all then printed and presented to GBC.

    Default Gosport ban on geocaching

    http://www.change.org/petitions/gosp...ack-to-gosport

As some of you may be aware, Gosport council have recently banned geocaching on all their land.
A local cacher has started an online petition to try and get them to change their minds (Link above).
i have no idea if this will help them change their minds, but it may just make them realise there are quite a few of us

Shame the site's not easier to use - when do I get to make a comment? It just asked for contact details and the Sig Count didn't go up..? - and the petition itself not a bit better written (sorry Gareth), but I've added my support for the Gosport Council to reconsider their blanket ban. There really is no good reason for it.

Message on the Hampshire geocaching page on Facebook:

    I received this from GBC

    Hello everyone

I am pleased to tell you that we will have information on our website some time next week which will outline the rules we expect geocachers to adhere to when placing caches on our land.

We will also provide maps which will show what land is owned by us.

Looks very good - well done to Gareth for organising the petition, and refusing to give up. Well done to Gosport borough council as well!
