Thread: Police called on visitors to my cache

Default Police called on visitors to my cache

My cache GC4CVEZ is hidden at the end of a short lane near my parents house ( so it's easy for me to maintain)
It looks like a concerned neighbour has called the police on them last night, police have cons out and the cachers have had to explain themselves
It's a quiet area , but not do quiet that people don't walk around
I'm a little worried about leaving the cache live now as I wouldn't want any other hunters to be put in a similar position

It's a responsible hide , nothing untoward or exceptional about it
I'd be interested in people's thoughts

Visit the people who live nearby and explain

Not really viable , it could be one of 15 or so properties

Call at them all. An hour out of your life, or just archive it

How many times has it been found, compared to police visits?
As a serving officer, I get called to all manner of suspicious incidents, and usually a quick chat with whoever is involved will sort things.

If I was called to this job, I would also have updated the caller to explain what the suspicious people had been up to - but I would do that if they were cachers or not.

It's only been found 1/2 dozen times or so but it's not been there long
It's not just about responsible cache hiding, as cachers we have to be responsible too in searching . if they were hunting round late at night with head torches on then that's going to arouse suspicion I suppose

If it were my cache, I'd probably move or archive it.
