When are the election dates going to be posted?

According to the GAGB Constitution (N2), they shall be posted no later than 1st October each year.

Chairman Elections
Nominations for Chairman open: Tues 24th October 2017
Close of nominations for Chairman: Fri 27th October 2017 (4 days)
Election for Chairman: Fri 3rd – Mon 6th November 2017 (4 days)

Committee Elections
Nominations for Committee open: Thurs 9th November 2017
Close of nominations for Committee: Mon 13th November 2017 (5 days)
Election of Committee: Tues 21st – Sun 26th November 2017 (6 days)

Thanks Sharon, but looking at the dates, to keep to constitution I think you need another day between close of nominations and the start of the election period for the Chairman position (assuming you are going for a midnight close/open) ..... the Commitee is ok.

I'll check with RO and the committee to move the dates 1 day earlier, but yes it needs a week between nomination and the election of a Chair. Nominations for Chairman open: Mon 23rd October 2017 and Close of nominations for Chairman: Thurs 26th October 2017 (4 days) and then that will meet the constitution rules.
