2018/2019 GAGB Executive Committee Elections
All GAGB members are eligible, and encouraged, to participate (stand, nominate or vote). As long as you are an ‘active’ member (interacted with us at some point in the last three years) you will receive a ballot to your registered email. Inactive members can request one even after that. More details & rules are on the forum.
There are two elections, first for the Chair and then for the eight Committee Member posts. Each candidate needs to receive two nominations from active members and in the proper GAGB forum to be valid, and the nominee must ‘accept’ the nomination by the due date.
Chair Elections (for a two-year term )
Nominations open: start of day Thursday November 1st
Nominations close: end of day Sunday November 4th (four days)
Acceptance & Manifesto in forum by end of Monday November 5th
Q&A runs all day November 6th until 10th (five days)
Voting starts: start of day Sunday November 11th,
Voting ends: end of day Wednesday November 14th (four days)
Committee Elections (8 vacancies, 1-year term )
Nominations open: start of day Thursday November 15th
Nominations close: end of day Sunday November 18th (four days)
Acceptance & Manifesto in forum by end of day Wednesday November 21st
Q&A runs all day November 22nd-25th four days)
Voting starts: start of day Monday November 26th,
Voting ends: end of day Friday November 30th (five days)
