    welcome to the obsession!

    go to www.geocaching.com

look in the hide and seek cache section and insert your post code. that'll list all the local ones.

if you go to the forums there you'll be ableto ask for any local cachers to adopt you. ie take you out on a couple of hunts to get you into the hobby properly.
you might get an offer here but more people seem to go to the other.
when you get to the forum go to the uk section.

    where about are you??

    Welcome to geocaching!

You could also try Buxley's Geocaching Waypoint which gives you maps of each country with all the caches marked. If you click on one of the red dots which represent each cache, you will be take to the appropriate page on geocaching.com. However this site can take a while to download so I wouldn't attempt it without broadband!

www.brillig.com/geocaching/united_kingdom.shtml will give you the uk map.

Hi welcome to this delightful game! As a compartive newcomers (late summer 2005) we can understand your problems! We scuttle around in the Wiltshire undergrowth - near Pewsey - so if we can help at all by joining you on a known cache - catch?! let us know.
    Have fun!

Not any more. All the Groundspeak caches have now been removed due to a "licencing dispute"
