Any particular reason why the polls section seems to be out of service?

Why do contributors seem limited to me Bill D Nobby Nobbs the Wombles and
    the Troll?

I hate to see a good forum die

The poll section works for me - don't know if you need moderator rights to make it work?

I might not contribute much, but I do pop in about 10 times a day to see whats going on.

I always thought Trolls were anonymous, without breaching confidentiality I'll bet that the committee knows the actual ID of every member who has posted to this board.

And just to confuse the issue, my user name here does not fully match my GC user name . And I run 2 accounts there but only one here :P

I tried the poll you put up Womble but it wouldn'y let me vote it said

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

    The error returned was:

You cannot vote in this poll"

Sad because polls make a forum fun

    ALSO

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

    The error returned was:

You cannot start a poll "

    So I can't start a poll either

It said the menu had been disabled

Rebble, you couldn't vote in the poll because you were still a non-voting member. I've now made you an ordinary member. You won't be able to vote in that particular poll if you've viewed the results, but you will be able to in future polls.

As I said in the thread in question, if anyone is unable to vote and feels they should be able to, just let me or the committee know and we'll look at it.

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

    The error returned was:

Flood control is enabled on this board, please wait 30 seconds before replying or posting a new topic"

And then more of the usual you can't start a poll

That means I'll have to wait for one of you to start a poll

And there was me about to propose marriage to Bill and with me looking like Pamela Anderson too

Rebble, I've changed the permissions for starting polls in the Polls forum. They were set for committee members and admin only, by default. You should now be able to start a poll.

So you're outcasts and lepers no more. I hope...
