Acoording to my research! there have been 11 films in all languages etc as listed below of which Judy Garland's was the 6th, and not including sequels. The early films were short silent movies.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1910)
His Majesty the Scarecrow of Oz(1914)
The Patchwork Girl of Oz (1914)
The Wizard of Oz (1921) not finished
    Wizard of Oz (1925)
The Wizard of Oz (1939 starring Judy Garland)
    The Wiz, (1978)
The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (2005 TV film)
Ayşecik ve Sihirli Cüceler Rüyalar Ülkesinde (1971 Turkish film)
    The Wizard of Oz (1982)
Oz no Mahōtsukai, (1987 Japanese film)

Just to continue the point of falling asleep during a film, a little while ago hubby agreed to come and see Evita with me at the cinema, 3 minute in to the "film" he fell asleep and proceeded to snore all the way through it!!!!!!

This film is full of wooden acting but with strings attached. It envolves communist badies being foiled by the elite goodies.

Whoops - there's me wondering "whatever happened to that movie game kinda thing we used to play on here" - and it was me what done it all along!!! Derrrrr.

OK then - an easy one to get it all flowing again - and as they're both sat on my movie shelf - what is the difference in running times between the original release Blade Runner (on VHS), and the directors cut Blade Runner (also VHS)?

Nobby gets the ding - both 112 minutes - although the first IS 112 minutes, and the directors cut only "approx" 112 minutes......

not bad for a wild guess... think it is slightly longer as the end footage changed as well...

right another fairly easy one and a favourite film of mine.

Picnic at hanging Rock - only know because I was reading about the Abo's banning climbing on Ayres Rock (Uluru?) on the news the other day, and looked up Hanging Rock as well.
