Newcastle city council will allow Geocaching within sites managed by Newcastle City Councils' Parks and Countryside Service if the terms stated by the Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB) and the additional terms of Newcastle City Council (below) are adhered to.
Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB) Geocaching Guidelines are available here.
Newcastle City Council Guidelines:
1. Before placing a cache on land managed by the Parks and Countryside service the appropriate area manager must be informed.
2. No cache may be placed in such a way as to risk damage or disturbance to property, vegetation or wildlife.
3. Cars are generally not permitted on Parks and Countryside sites other than at designated car parks.
4. Newcastle City Council is not liable for injury sustained by persons placing or finding geocaches or to third parties injured by the placement or location of geocaches.
