What Information do we Collect?

We collect personal data provided by you. This includes information you give us when you join as a member, register on our site and/or place an order or become a GAGB Friend. We may collect information from social media or if you post on one of our social media pages.

When ordering and/or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address or phone number. You may, however, visit our site anonymously and purchase any product as a guest.

Membership Data

When you become a member, we will hold personal information about you to help administer your membership (for example, your email address and geocaching username). Your details will be treated with confidentially.

To Process Transactions

The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, we do not send marketing emails to our online shop customers. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

To Send Periodic Emails

The Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB) will use the information you provide to send you important email messages from time to time including election emails, our quarterly Seeker magazine and/or our monthly news update. Our regular emails promote geocaching in the UK and the work we do. This includes keeping you up to date with our news, campaigns, products, events, surveys and fundraising activities.

You can unsubscribe from receiving our regular communications at any time. If you no longer wish to receive future emails you can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by deselecting the Quarterly Seeker Magazine/Monthly News Update in the footer, or by deselecting 'Receive Emails from the GAGB' within the vBulletin forum settings or by contacting us at gagbcontact@gagb.org.uk. We will treat your information with respect.

We use Mailchimp as our marketing platform. By subscribing to our emails, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing. Learn more about Mailchimp's privacy practices here.

Other GAGB members may want to send you private messages from time to time. If you wish to receive such messages then select 'Receive Messages from other Members' option within the vBulletin forum settings.
