Description

The New Forest National Park, which is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) does allow geocaching, but unfortunately the GAGB does not have any details of where geocaches can be placed, or any any areas where geocaches must not be placed.  The New Forest National Park has areas that are ecologically fragile.

Application Process

Geocachers wishing to place a geocache in the New Forest, which is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) must email

southern.permissions@forestryengland.uk

with the co-ordinates in both Lat/Long and BNG formats

Their advertised waiting time for a reply is 8 weeks
