Keith Tomey, the Countryside Ranger for the Common, wants to encourage appreciation of the special nature of the site whilst protecting the site. This is a small site with high visitor pressure on sensitive areas, including ground nesting birds and valley mire systems.
Any cacher wishing to place a cache on Snelsmore Common should contact Keith at the above address to arrange an on-site meeting. He will be happy to advise on the suitability of locations.
Plastic containers are not suitable as cattle and ponies are grazed on the site - ammo boxes must be used.
